Subject of Discussion:
- How to share survey results in more detail with the congregation
Discussion Points:
Survey Results: Due to one member’s inquiry as to when more detailed results of the survey would be released, one other inquiry through the office, and the Board’s statement to the congregation that further detail would be forthcoming, the Board met to make a decision on how the results would be presented to the members.
- Do we use the “Top Categories of Survey Results” complied by Laura Rath following our 2.14.2012 meeting with John Schmidt?
- Do we make available the raw data?
The Board concluded to prepare a summary of the survey for the congregation to include the demographics and Top Categories for each of the survey questions, mentioning the Board did use an experienced analyst to compile the data. Ann Zimmerman and Wendi Canada will prepare this handout by April 6th for the Board to edit. The document will be a separate handout for the weekend services of April 14th and 15th.
The Board agreed that if a member asks to see the survey results, Pastor Burcham can provide them with a printout of the survey results and a quiet area to read the data. The results will not be handed out or made available online, only as a printed report available to read in the office.
The Board went into Executive Session.
